Wow, it’s been a year since I last posted anything! And to be honest, blogging hasn’t exactly made it back to the top of the priority list yet. While I miss it, I don’t even know if I’m ready and committed to coming back yet. There are just too many other things to do…

But I still thought I’d pop in today and share the valentines I made for Ben’s nursery school this year. And I even included a FREE PRINTABLE for those of you last minute peeps who are looking for a quick, and super cute valentine to throw together for your kiddos.

Last year, I used store-bought cards. I was okay with that, but still slightly annoyed when Ben came home with some of the same valentines from other classmates. So this year, I was determined to do something more unique.

On a trip to Target this week, Ben pick out the fun neon dinosaur erasers to give his friends for Valentine’s Day. (They came as a pack of 8 and we found them in the Valentine’s Day section.) Of course there are a million and one awesome ideas on Pinterest—but I didn’t really find anything that captured the idea that was floating around in my head, so I just decided to created my own. Might as well put my design degree to good use, right!?

You can download the printable here. There are three valentines per letter-sized sheet. Print as many as you need, and just cut on the dotted-line. I printed mine on bright white heavy card stock. I also decided to back them with matching bright neon card stock for a little extra support. But that’s up to you.

I then hot-glued each dinosaur to the valentine. (Don’t worry—it won’t harm the dinosaur.) And even though the hot-glue was probably adequate to hold the dinosaur to the card, I decided to punch holes and secure them even more with a little bit of string. Plus, I think it’s a cute detail. But, likely unnecessary.

Originally, Ben wanted to keep all the dinosaurs for himself. But he was so excited to see these this morning and absolutely pumped to give them to all of his friends. Ah, happiness.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
